J Savers are showing as Not Available on SIN-SYD from 22 September onwards as part of IST-SIN-SYD - would they ever go to Waitlist or Available again? or do I need to call SQ and book them separately as searching SIN-SYD J is showing? Weird?

Also I'm short by 3000 miles for but will get about 5000 on 24 Aug on my WPAC CC - do I wait until 24 Aug for a flight out around 23 Sep or just pay the extra to purchase miles now?

I've previously had success getting them to book the flight with a future ticketing date. Just explain it to the call centre. If not success first time, then call back later.

Called SQ this morning who advised that the IST-SIN flight's waitlist is closed due to high demand from 22 Sept onwards hence can't get IST-SIN-SYD, even though that separately IST-SIN still allows to be waitlisted.

Does anyone know if the waitlist reopens?

Depends on loads and the way they feel. There is no definitive answer.

Your plans depends on how committed you have to be, how flexible you are and if you can get a refundable Plan B in place.

Please keep us updated on how you progress.

The F1 is on towards the end of Sept I believe - may /may not be related...

So much for trying to book an impromptu holiday to visit some family. I can get SYD-IST return in Y not there is no J at all on IST-SIN and they won't allow me to do a mixed Y/J booking with 15% discount.
