I did a SC run on AA in May. Thanks for all the advice on how to get that booked.
The flight was supposed to be LAX-IAH-MIA-AUA. When I arrived at LAX they had put me on direct flight to MIA.

All the points and SC have come through for this AS FLOWN, but is there any way to get the point and SC for the trip that was actually booked?

On the way back through DFW, my flight to LAX was cancelled and I ended up with 4 boarding passes on different flights to make sure I made the connecting QF flight home from LAX. Unfortunately I didnt get 4 lots of points for that sector:lol:

Was there a problem? IRROPS?

Or were they just being 'nice'.

If the former, then you should be able to get "Original Routing Credit", if the latter then it may be harder.

What were the booking classes?

I hate it when check-in staff try to do you a "favour" by putting you on direct flights.

Either way I think there is good chance of getting Original Routing Credit for outbound flights.

Any way of trying to get credit for additional flights flown on inbound leg?

I turned up at check in and they said my flight was changed to a direct MIA. It didnt sound like a favour, more that the IAH wasnt running.
Sorry Serfty I dont understand IRROPS?
Do I need to contact AA for Original Routing Credit, as I booked through them. It was a Yup. ( and a wonderful flight)

IRROPS - irregular operations.

ORC claims go through QF - search this site and you will find the process.

Send your boarding passes and itinerary to QFF service centre asking for original routing credit. I use the fax number 1 300 305 747 as I have had issues with the email address.
