Hilton Q3 Promo

I quite like this promo - I'll be staying on some business trips (not paying) and therefore should do well out of the triple points.

So if you book a rate through Hilton & select a rate that earns double or triple miles, do you then earn triple miles again on the Q3 promo?

Double and triple are on base points. The rate will add a bonus line, separate to base points. And exclusive of gold/diamond points, 1000 point bonus etc.

I dislike this promo, only because I have few/no stays and Q2 was comparatively sucky! ;)

I wouldn't worry about trying to register until the 9th, the date that it starts.

At least registration is open.

Now I have to consider - would I stay at HOTP and get triple points or HSW? It's probably only going to be another 4000 points per night for me so not enough to tip me to stay, but it's a consideration.

Good for you. So nice to see a fellow traveller having a win!

At least my next booked stay is not in the list of hotels that are not participating, so I assume that means it is participating :)

The list is huge!!! What's the point of having the promo?

There always seems to be a long list of non-participants in the US, however elsewhere still looks reasonable.

The concern for Oz is the HSW. I cannot recall them not participating in a HH promo previously. With the recent flurry of adverse comment about HSW, I do truly trust this is not a portal glimpse of years to come!

Looking at their bookings for the next few months they frequently don't have any advance purchase rates either. On many nights their rates are quite high so I'm guessing they have looked at bookings and decided they don't need to do AP or be part of the promo.
