A quick question relating to fare rules interpretation on change fees for infants.

As reported in the expedia.com.br, had to change some flights my sister booked for the family due to inadvertently selecting October for return date instead of September. We paid the change fees to make these changes. However, both expedia and Qantas charged the fee, so have been double charged the change fee, which we are trying to pursue for refund via expedia. However I noticed differences in what they charged:

1) Expedia charged 5x$100 + $10(infant)
2) QANTAS charged 6x$100 (no discounted change fee for infant)

Which is correct? I want to make sure we have correct information regarding infant change fee, particularly if it is expedia that ends up refunding the change fee.

Fare rules stated:
CHANGES ANY TIME
CHARGE AUD 100.00 FOR REISSUE/REVALIDATION.

ANY TIME
CHARGE AUD 300.00 FOR NO-SHOW.
NOTE - TEXT BELOW NOT VALIDATED FOR AUTOPRICING.
UPGRADE REISSUE FEE - IF UPGRADE PERMITTED BELOW
CHARGE APPLICABLE REROUTING/REISSUE FEE ABOVE.

CHILD DISCOUNTS DO NOT APPLY - CHILD PAYS FULL

YR TAX CODE ON THE TICKET.

While we cannot speak on behalf of an agent, I would recommend that you contact our Reservations team on 131313 asap for clarification. They're the subject matter experts and are available 24/7. :)

Thanks RedRoo. I called 131313, and they too understandably indicated they could not speak for agents - as the agents could have their own separate change fees. However they did indicate what QF fare rules say - and after looking up the fare rules for original booking they indicated a third answer, they wouldn't charge change fees ! I am happy with 10pc charged by expedia to my CC, but it seems the 100% charged by QF (I assume ticketing agent or consolidator) to my CC incorrect. Will add this to the list for next contact with the TA!

Thanks for the update. Glad our Reservations team could help clarify things for you. Hope you're able to sort this out asap. :)
