I'm on QF29 MEL-HKG in a few weeks, which now departs at 9.35am under the new Asia timings.

How early can I check-in? I'd be happy to arrive at the airport at 6am to maximise lounge time for breakfast and hopefully a spa treatment. How busy is the lounge at that time of morning in terms of other flights?

THey quite often do a check in for 3.5 hours prior. Are you checking bags? i've been there til 9am before and it wasn't hugely busy.

The spa has its first appointment at 0730 so you might be lucky.

With hand luggage only I can't see you'll have any problems checking in at 0600.

That would mean about 6am open. Are immigration line very bad then? As WP I should get an Express card right?
