Yes. Lady on platinum desk checked with her manager and said that it doesn't come with a second lot if baggage allowance..

Others can correct me if I'm wrong, but you basically pay for the basic fare, but don't have to pay the taxes as they are "person" based fees, so it's a bit cheaper... Is that right?

That's seems a little, uh, ridiculous.

Arguably you should get an even larger luggage allowance for your empty seat, since you're no longer putting the extra weight of a person onboard.

That and I would assume baggage allowance should be part of the basic fare. Additional allowance for status is arguable but the base baggage allowance should still be included.
