Dont know whats up with NZ. I did a fully flexible booking for August at Holiday Inn Auckland airport and it came up with 0 points to be earned. Sent email to both the Hotel and PC but recieved no reply at all. Ended up canceling the booking and rebooking with Accor at the airport
Have stayed at the Accor (Novotel) at the airport a number of times in the past and have not been able to fault it. Usual rack rate is around NZ$230 and this doesnt alter much. Have had early check-ins in the morning provided FOC. If staying there catch the bus into auckland city is ok but takes about half hour and is quite a long trip but bus terminates at the bottom of Queen st and a 2-3 minute walk to Viaduct harbour with nice cafe's and restaurants. On walf there just past ferry wharfs is the Providores hotel. Great little "locals" bar, not too many tourists and they have a great happy hour. certainly makes back the cost of the transit bus.Weird, I think I will do the same, maybe wait for an Accor sale to come up.
Ok thanks, we have been invited to a 40th party near the viaduct so will probably stay in the city, the BOGO rate at the CP was around $104 NZD which is pretty good, even with no points.....
The Sebel viaduct was also an option, more exe, we don't get to AKL until about 8.30pm which is a pain, but what can you do .....
I have always had points from BOGO in Aust, but this would be first BOGO in NZ.
No differentiation in countries re earning rules, Asia Pac covers both.
I would have thought that, just was a surprise to see zero on the booking, anyway think we are going to stay at CP Auck at the end of the day, the rate was too good to not stay.
I do recall getting points from CP Christchurch a few years back on a BOGO come to think of it.....
what is a BOGO ?
what is a BOGO ?
Buy one get one free, or in other words a PP 2 for 1 cert for pay one night get the next night free.
