I've noticed that several Australasian hotels have rates of "Stay 2 nights, get 20% off" and "Stay 3 nights, get 30% off". What's more, when you're searching by price in the "flexible dates", these prices are significantly cheaper than the rates that are shown in the usual flexible dates view. It's worth clicking the "view other rates for this room" option when you're booking.

I agree - I've used this rate at HOTP and HSP.
Cheaper than all other rates and still get the Macquarie Hilton discount.

Agreed. I've got in the habit of clicking the "specials" link on each hotels home page to see what's available. In Taupo, I found an apartment long stay special that dropped the rate on a 3 bedroom appt from circa NZ$550/nite to NZ$350. That rate seems to be hotel specific and represents a nice saving for our 6 nite stay in July.

At the bottom of each room type shows a tab for specials and packages. I note it doesn't always bring up all the deals though so I usually check all the appropriate boxes (like Gov't or AAA rate), and check the hotel home page which does seem to list the all specials, then I'll check the search by flexible dates box as sometimes it's cheaper to move a stay by a day or book multiple stays rather than one bigger one and also check back in my emails and look for the promos I've been sent.

Unless they've extended them, I think both the 20% and 30% off sales are finished now (30/4 and 14/5 respectively). The daily grand promo is still current.
