Hi all!

I've booked a BNE-MEL J award flight as a bit of a surprise for my sister's birthday. She's living in QLD for uni, and has had a bit of a dodgy run lately with JQ and VA, so I figured I'd use up the points I'd never use myself (they're from credit cards but all of my work flights are with VA a/c sponsorship deals). She was pretty chuffed to hear that I've booked her QF flights, can't wait to see how she reacts when she sees where she's sitting.

So anyway, to my questions:
- Does holding a BP for J (even an award redemption) automatically grant access to the J lounge, or is a QFF membership and/or status required too? I'm under the impression that it's the former but want to be sure.
- If yes, would she have any guest entitlement?

Unfortunately the QF site is a little light on details in this area. I don't want to give her dodgy info, so cheers for any advice anyone can offer!

The BP for J permits J lounge access on its own. No status is required.

A guest is allowed but doesn't need to be travelling.

Thanks, madrooster and RooFlyer - much appreciated!

Can't believe I didn't find that link myself. I looked around a fair bit (and found a similar but less detailed page), but obviously wasn't looking hard enough... :-|

Thanks again!
