Morning all,

I have a return flight booked in July SYD-HKG, have purchased and selected exit row seats both ways. I am interested in paying to change the return (night) flight to premium economy (the original booking was sale economy). At the first step of doing this online there is a warning that prepaid exit rows will be lost, but I am wondering if anyone knows if this applies to the total trip or just the leg that you are changing. I know it is not possible to initially book a mixed fare, but wondering if it is possible through "change flights" option online? Or will it just allow to change to a different economy fare? Cheers.

Upgrading the return flight will result in you forfeiting the exit row for that sector only. The outbound will remain as booked. However you will have to contact our Reservations team to action the upgrade from Economy to Premium Economy as this cannot be done online.

Thank you so much Red Roo, very much appreciated! :-)

Final question, if paying to upgrade to premium economy, would the payment for exit row seats be forfeited or refunded? Thanks!

I did not think it was possible to book mixed class itineraries online so would be interested to see how it is possible to change one leg to premium economy online whilst leaving the other leg in economy.
