They can force you to have the card.

The can't force you to take the financial products bundled in the card.

Indeed, that's what I meant.

From what I understand, to opt in for the card now, you can't / won't experience any ill affects as you are not opting in for the financial products (which don't exist yet as they don't have a published PDS).

And even if you elect to take the card now by getting in the 'queue'?!? they can't offer you a financial product without first providing a Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and having you accept said terms.

Edit: what penegal said. My phone wasn't up to date ;)

Ah what the hell. I applied for it. If I don't use it for what it is designed for then I'll just have it for scraping the frost off my windscreen when in the UK.

Much like how I'm using my PS/SG/WP baggage tags as coasters in SIN.

I would presume that our acceptance of the T&C's of the financial side to the card will either be on the first transaction or perhaps they will point us to "register and accept" on a website page.

All will be revealed in the fullness of time

You cannot pay off a credit product with another 'credit' product (which includes Debit cards).

For example, you can't pay off your Amex account with a MasterCard/Visa, be it Debit or Credit.

I believe this is part of the financial services legislation.

So I highly doubt you could pay off your credit card with Q Cash, unless it allows BPay from the card, but that would most likely not be eligible for points earn.

I pay off one of my AMEX CC accounts bpay from a bank issued points earning CC, and seem to be earning points on that. Maybe that's not the norm though.

Just to make that clear are you saying that you are paying Amex CC via bpay and that is giving you FF points on the bpay transaction? Would like to know the detail of this process. Thanks.

So would I
