The Lounge Wi-Fi Speedtest Thread

Another person checking in from the QF International J lounge at MEL.

Ping: 18ms
Download: 39.70 Mbps
Upload: 31.87 Mbps.

Pretty quiet here, probably only folks from QF29 (me) and JQ3.

Regardless, some great speed.

And from the next leg of my RTW trip - Hong Kong QF J Lounge:

Ping: 860ms (!) - Yes it feels that slow.
Download: 0.45 Mbps.
Upload: 0.16 Mbps.

Lounge is probably ~80% full, but mostly full of Poms heading out on BA026/028.
In comparison, I've found a corner of the lounge where I can access the free HKIA WiFi:

Ping: 136ms
Download: 2.42 Mbps
Upload : 4.98 Mbps.

Hence I'm using that connection rather than the one provided by QF.

Boston Logan AAdmirals Club, Terminal B. About 20 people here. Not busy.

WTF!!!!!!!!

its 4.40pm I'm in LAX TBIT J Lounge. Less than 40 people in here. Half of which would be using a device connected to the wireless... Speedtest is giving me a server in Zurich.... And I have up on getting it to complete a test... I did see 0.3 M/b for less than a minute... :(

its a joke!

/end rant

gogo

edit. 0.1 Mbps

Last week at MEL Virgin Lounge, 111ping, 10.94Mbs Down and 9.34Mbs up, with about 30 pax in the lounge.

It one of the reasons I stay at T4 as long as practical before walking a round to TBIT.

I had been in there 4 times in this one holiday! I wasn't staying any longer.. I wanted food (other than biscuits) that I didn't have to pay for! ;)

(Trip report is coming....) it will be a long one!!
