Wow I just played around on the AA website and did a combination of flights (which I may well use) which came to 690 status credits for a total spend of US$2020 which comes to $2.93/SC.
Not too shabby.

That's for flying 6858 miles.

Considering I'll only be silver by then but flying F the number of points will come to

6858 + 3429 (50% silver bonus) + 6858 (100% cabin bonus) = 17,145

Is this correct ?

AA is so awesome !! wow.

For a status run $2.93/SC isn't that great unless you need those flights anyway, considering $1.5-1.7/SC can easily be found, routing can be found here on AFF.

As for how many points you'll earn. The cabin bonus is only 50% so you'll only earn 6858 + 3429 + 3429 = 13716 points.

It s Possible to earn well over 1,200 SCs (WP retain) from Syd / Cun / Syd at less than $5k.

Syd/Nan/Hhl/Sfo/Lax/Las/Lax/Dfw/Mia/Cun and back.
Anybody up for a few day on a nice beach?
