Hi all

This question relates to the Reward seat promo active until June 30 2013.

I'm relying on my Flexi upgrade to J (fare code ZUPGD) to credit as J SC. Please give me some good news!

Also, if you've had this experience, could you let me know if you flew recently, or could it possibly have been 'fixed'.

Thanks guys and girls.

Upgrades credit to the value of your original booking class of Y. I recently had a upgrade credit as J. But emailed retro and and told them.

So you emailed them and told them they incorrectly credited as J?

Upgraded J seats in most cases meet the requirement of the promotion (795 ticket number and Z class), so they are eligible for J status credits. In some cases they will post automatically, in my case it was done manually.

That's very much my reading of the T&Cs.

Although that seems at odds with brad330's experiences - I think.

bullerdude, did they do it manually with many problems?

It's ok, based on my experience chasing non-crediting sectors, I'm pretty sure no-one ever checks the retro@ mailbox, so your earn will probably stay as credited

I flew SYD <-> PER on an upgraded Flexi by points to Business (Z seat) just last week and yes they are credited at the J seat reward level during the promotion. (i.e. for me it was 80 SC per sector).

Ditto here :)

Hi All,

Am new to all the codes, but did the op ask in layman terms that if paid Flexi Y fare was upgraded to J, using one of the 4 platinum complimentary upgrades, that he will receive J class SCs?

Could I also ask in the case of PER to GC trip, would only 1 upgrade be required to cover me for J class across the two sectors, or would that require 2 separate upgrade, i.e. it only works per sector?

Thanks guys!

hi legalistic! Yes that's precisely what I asked (though I was talking about upgrading with points, same thing).

And upgrade is now per sector unfortunately, so you'll need 2.

All recent flexi to J upgrades have posted automatically as J SCs for me. Hope it continues until the rewards promo finish.

Thanks Bart for the quick help!

This thread has motivated me to churn through the 4 J ups asap. The bitter sweet twist to this is that it seems flexi prices are 30% more dearer post sabre!

I swear the cheap BNE-PER flexis used to only start at $330 late last year? Anyone else feeling the pain?

Yes, same here on the crediting. However I didn't tell them and don't intend to.

Better yet, seems that some of the time I use "Fly Ahead" post Sabre, the ticket changes to a Flexi fare (Saver originally) and in turn I earn Flexi SC's and get offered a flexi meal.

Sure it wont take them long to close this loophole, not that it really matters for me as I re qualified for Plat in 3 months.
