Hi all.

I am trying to find Y tickets for my parents to fly SYD-BEG with one stop only. It seems my only choice is Emirates (SYD-DXB) and flydubai (DXB-BEG).

Most reviews I am reading are not favourable. However, I am trying to paint a factual picture for the folks. One piece of info I am struggling to find info about is seat pitch. Can someone help with that?

It's all about low cost and time with them. While I might convince them to fly into another European city first, I really do not want them flying over 5 hours on flydubai if it's worse than a typical Y flight on another carrier.

Thanks, pw.

No idea about flydubai. Do consider DOH-BEG on Qatar though. SYD-DXB-DOH-BEG or SYD-MEL-DOH-BEG should be similar in time / cost.

2 stop flights are plentiful. If I can talk them into that, finding flights is easy. Thanks.

flydubai operates 737-800s with 189 seats, which I think is maximum capacity. Looking at other low cost airlines with a similar seating arrangement the pitch is stated as 30', which is technically 1 inch less pitch than Qantas... however a lot depends on the seat itself.

Flydubai advertises their seats as having the magazine pouch at the top (rather than at knee level) - so maybe you'll end up with similar legroom (or more) than Qantas.
