So, after 92 flights this year with exactly the same cabin bags (Samsonsite 4 wheeler and a small laptop backpack), I was taken to task by the FA before boarding ADL-MEL flight today. This was the first time I have been questioned in this run of some 200 flights between MEL and ADL.
I was first in line and she asked me to place my bag in the metal frame and explained to me that if my bag was 110cm then I was not supposed to have a second bag OR I should get another back at 105cm.
I came close to a DYKWIA moment but then I realised that I actually wasn't really important at all.
Is this a shift in policy or did I just land the baggage naz_? Or maybe it was the fact that the 737 is named after Cann River a one horse town that can't handle the extra 5cms....
