Hi all, just looking at booking an economy fare flying DCA-ORD-LAS.

According to the QF earn table (Frequent Flyer - Earning Points - Fly - Airline Partners), GLMNSV class tickets are considered discount economy and earn 0.5 points per mile. Full economy is BHKY which earns 1 point per mile.

On a M class economy ticket DCA-ORD-LAS, Mileage Monkey says economy SC earn is 15+20=35. Is that the same for discount economy and full economy? Or is full economy going to be 30+40=70?

From similar -Y flights I've done on AA metal crediting to QF you should get the following;

DCA-ORD; 15 SC's
ORD-LAS; 20 SC's

Full economy (BYHK) is double the above.

I use Travel Math for distances and it calculates;

DCA-ORD; 612 miles (x 0.5) = 306 FF points, but you should get 500 mile minimum guarantee = 500 FF points
ORD-LAS; 1,514 miles (x 0.5) = 757 FF points.

Full economy is 100% FF points per mile.

I'f I'm wrong, no doubt I'll be corrected! ;) :lol:

LOL!

Only Y class is considered economy when it come to QFF SC earning on international flights or airline partners. Every other cattle class fare bucket is either discount (BKHWVMGLNS) or non earn (QO).
