A colleague of mine if flying from Canberra to Japan via Sydney on QF, with checked baggage. Can someone tell us how long before the flight check in closes?

Cheers

Thanks Ewing. We weren't sure whether the international or domestic check in times applied.

Allowing yourself a bit more time is better. Is the time they will be checking in a busy or quiet time?

Some people cut things way too fine which may work if everything's okay but if they arrive right on flight close & there's an issue with the booking eg TA hasn't issued ticket they're up the creek.

Usually these people have booked themselves a one hour connection in SYD so no leeway to get later dom flight that will still make the intl connection.

If your colleague can OLCI at least you know there are no ticketing issues so they only need to do the bag drop.

Luckily she has six hours in Sydney to enjoy the first lounge, so I suspect if she misses her flight she'll be able to get on another one!
