Can anyone tell me has QF ever had direct flights to MNL from Perth?

Do you think it would ever happen in the future?

I for one vote for more direct flights from Perth and for me BNE - MNL.

If the Pi govt and industry continue to grow their call centre business, then hopefully the airlines will catch on.

JQ do DRW/MNL non-stop which only started recently.

Prior to that BI flew DRW/BWN/MNL which was popular with VFR traffic but lost a bit of patronage when TR flew DRW/SIN but a lot of pax didn't realise TR would only check bags to SIN so had to be checked in again in SIN which wasn't popular.

Would expect PR services before any hope of QF services to PER.

I wouldnt be holding breath waiting for anyone to serve it anytime soon. Too many one-stop options (DRW, SIN, SYD for example).

Can think of routes from Perth i would prefer before MNL... A direct flight back to Japan would be good, India as well....

It would be nice to have non-stop flights from everywhere but realistically that is not going to happen.

Price (mnl is by reputation a very price sensitive market).

Agree - a lot of guest workers and migrants on low incomes returning home. Hence JQ flying from DRW (we have a large Filipino community in the NT, and also other JQ flights feed into the flight from elsewhere in Australia. It's only four and a bit hours to Manila from here, making it easy for a single-aisle jet to make the run without sacrificing PAX and freight, which DJ are having to do on some routes to DPS (hence talk of DJ flights to DPS via DRW) Strategic Hub for Virgin and Singapore? - Passport Darwin

I'm hoping/guessing you already realise that Qantas fly direct from BNE-MNL every Thursday and fly direct MNL-BNE every Monday.

I think he is saying he hopes there is "more", not some.

QF19/20 is good but it would be better if the service was expanded.
