looks Like Qantas is finally listening and trying hard to get the level of service and standards to where they should be.

Really like the mattress as the skybeds can be a tad hard. No longer need an extra Blanket.

Wonder when this enhancement will be introduced?

Wow.... Personally sleep fine on the skybeds but I'm not saying no.

A quasi F enhancement, never had that before.........

Is this EK pushing them along?

Yes and having spoken to some one senior in customer service their is lots of other good things to come too

Yes I had a CSM tell me what is happening as well. They will all have iPads and when they find out that Ansett enjoys Verdi they will update your profile.

They will be targeting their top tiers. Let's not get into any discussions as to who they are....use ones imagination.

They also intend to increase capacity quite considerably

Excellent news. Can they please start on SYD-SCL. Tomorrow.

No, let's.

this is where that P1 tier ( but not really a tier as to not offend the great unwashed of WP) starts to kick in, linking in with Emirates I/O level, which aligns with P1

I hate to say I told you so........ But.......

Tiers, plural. I guess that would be the Wanker Platinum premier and the 2400 SC tiers. But not the lessor Platinums. Will be interesting to see how they go giving out mattresses to select J seats that only contain people of those superior tiers.

I would have thought platinum would match platinum?

P1 and CL would therefore only count on QF metal?

Qantas didn't come down in the last shower (a glib refererence to your unwashed comment) they do realize that typically their P1 membership is drawn from the P ranks.

Always happy to be guided by the washed!

Yes, quite possibly.

Not sure about the queue for mattresses.

I suppose a life time Bronze could snare one and we certainly would not hear the end of that now would we!

no, you have misread the entire thread, the new sleep enhancements, spade kits, Q-eats, etc are available to all in J ( even those lowly WP's) there are a number a plans underway the enhance the whole experience for the true top levels along the lines of Emirates I/O program and SQ PPS Solitare

Sorry, I disagree.

Emirates I/O = Qantas CL - both are invite only level tiers and not published.

...linking in with Emirates I/O level, which aligns with P1

Errr, allow me to beg to speculate differently. I/O stands for "Invite Only"; I believe the more accurate alignment with QF would be CL (also an "invite only" tier).

This sounds great, though it does blur the lines even further between First and Business. It's getting so that the only better things in First are bar, privacy and amenity kit.... (did I miss anything? I thought one hand was enough to count 'em....)

That said, it doesn't seem to address the droop issue most people are having, and a mattress will just weigh down on that lower extension even further. Next thing you know it someone's gonna snap that Skybed Mk II in half. Maybe they should consider reinforcing the Skybed.

They also mention new amenity kits by the Spades. Reading that they are going to be pouches (and a slim one for the ladies), I'm not entirely sure what to expect in the good sense. Hopefully it's still going to be functional. (Keep in mind that pouches don't necessarily have to be fully enclosed or having "binders" like buttons, zips, latches or the like, so it could be just a cheap fold over....)

My understanding was PPS Solitaire was a benefit after an accumulation of spend and SC (or their equivalent) and assessed over 5 years. I wasn't aware QF were planning something like that.

Ok, let me educate the masses here, are we paying attention?Emirates I/O does stand for invitation only, but that invitation is extended when you rack up 50 J or F flights at full pay. CL is different in that it is targeted at those who control the corporate travel spend, and not those who do the big miles. [ content removed by moderation]

Where did you find the criteria for EK I/O?

There have been rumours on criteria for entry to I/O, but nothing concrete.

Source please. PDF or Weblink will suffice.

Thanks in advance, that is, if you can provide the evidence.

Are you a flying doctor?

So let me get this right. Invitation only is subjectively managed at qantas but EK is objectively observed.

Ok so if the above is correct and you are suggesting alignment, how will that work?
