Hi,
I am looking for some information. Will be flying J to Bangkok in a few months and was only interested in having a completely lie flat seat. Is there any carrier that offers this firstly out of Brisbane or secondly from Sydney. I have noticed that the older style half recline seat seems to be the only thing on offer from Bris....

Regards,
Roger :)

QF and TG will be angled lie flats. Soes Emirates fly it? Ortherwise CX should have full flats (but via HKG) or SQ via SYD

If you join US Airways (see the long thread elsewhere here on AFF) you can buy the miles required to fly SYD-BKK in First class. They have a current 100% miles bonus, but account have to be 12 days old (you'd comfortably achieve this before the 30 October close date).

Max purchase is 50K miles with 50K bonus costing USD1881. Then you'd need to buy another 20K miles at full price costing USD752

Add taxes (about $180-$200 including their booking fee) and all up about USD2800 for return First class.

I am flying with Thai Airways (TG) Business (J) from Sydney (SYD) to Bangkok (BKK) in the last week of November.

They have 2 direct flights a day from SYD 10:00am and 5:00pm

The flight time is 9:30 hm on a 747 with 170 deg lie-flat seats.

For me at this time of the day and flight duration the seats are more than adequate.

If requiring a return flight the times are 8:00am and 6:00pm

Thai (TG) also have a direct flight a day from Brisbane (BNE) at 2:20PM

Flight time is 9:10 hm and the aircraft is a 777-300 and I think with the same seat type.

Return flight leaves at midnight.

Their prices are pretty good at the moment too.

This is the interactive link for the seats.
