How can I stay airside in HKG airport overnight with flight the next morning?

I think it's not going to make much of a difference whether you can get into airside or not - if it can be done, you would most likely be going to the 24 hours Travellers Lounge (near gate 1). If you are sent landside, you would most likely be going to the 24 hours Travellers Lounge, opposite CX's The Arrival lounge.

The boarding pass was not issued in BKK this (yesterday) morning and I picked it up at the transfer desk in HKG at 12:10am. I am airside and do not need to go landside until the morning as I have the whole airport to myself.

The Pier closed at 12:30am and does not open until 6:00am. The Wing opens at 5:30am. Nothing much else happening although it is extremely quiet, except for PA testing, with a lack of annoying people to annoy me. ;)

I have free internet but may need some drinking at some stage.

As for checked luggage I did not want to risk it going with me all over the place so it is sitting in SIN T3 left luggage until ~9:00pm tomorrow night. Cost was ~SGD29 for golf bag and luggage and that is for 2 days as I just went over the 24 hours. Also means that I will only be transiting in MNL in the morning and hopefully can pick up boarding passes at the airline transfer desk.

Avoid trying to get boarding passes issues on an MNL turnaround if you can - get them in HKG at all costs.

My first MNL run they forgot to give me the return BP - the J FAs had to get ground staff to meet me at the gate, take my passport and go landside to issue them. Took about 20-30mins and really put the sweat on getting back on the return flight....

It wasn't so bad waiting in HKG airport overnight. The first 4 hours were real easy and passed quickly. The last 1:30 hours were a little bit difficult as I was falling asleep. Had breakfast in Pier First Class lounge at 6:00am and then a shower and change of clothes before flight.

Can't you OLCI?
I thought about that later. And you know I love the "cardboard" boarding passes anyway.

Went to the transfer desk in MNL with itinerary and passport and the kind lady went upstairs with both itinerary and passport and returned less than 10 minutes later with all 3 boarding passes for me MNL-BKK-SIN-SYD including lounge invitation for TG Royal Orchid Lounge in MNL.

Went to TG lounge and it has to be by far the worst lounge I have ever set foot in. A few chairs, some food and no desktops. Thinking to myself how the hell I spend 3 hours in here without internet access. Sat down and thinking if I should use my phone for internet wifi access when the lounge "angel" came over as she must have felt sorry for me and took me next door to the MIASCOR lounge which is used by many other airlines and handed them my endorsed lounge invitation. Seems to be a little better and has 4 desktops.

Good work,

I was going to suggest heading to Macau (CAT direct from airport 45 mins) and stay at Conrad (20k points plus $65)

A spot of blackjack etc
