Which category do you fall under?
Personally, I can claim all 3 titles however lean toward Intrepid Explorer.
I define the three as:
Traveller - travels a lot for work, travel is to get from point A-B and back to A with as little fuss or free time
Tourist - A person who takes tours, has the same photo on the wall in the living room as a squillion others and is happy to keep ON the beaten track
Intrepid Explorer - Off the beaten track, happy to wander in a foreign city / country with no purpose other than to stumble across [things]
In my case, 95% of all my travel is/has been work related, so I firmly fall into the traveller category, but if I exclude work and look just at personal vacation travel, Intrepid Explorer is me. Harbin China at minus 40, getting mugged in Ha Noi, Northern Sweden in Winter - my list [justified in my head as Intrepid Explorer] goes on...
I would love to know where everyone else places themselves on my scale
