Maybe but the service and pro-active service on SQ trumps QF

When QF get it right they outclass SQ because the latter is guaranteed but the former makes it seem natural.


All said and done, it was more just a response to your comment, and I believe that SQ J is not the preeminent Business class service in the world, even if comparing it to QF J was a bad choice.
 
I've long since given up expecting to get "pampered" in J, these days as long as I get a flat seat and decent quality food/wine I'm happy.
Worst J flight in recent years was SQ 380. Those seats might be fine if you're less than 6 ft but at 6'3 I was dreaming about Skybed Mk I.
