Virgin Australia Business Class - Meals, Menus & Service

I know the Coast to Coast menu was only refreshed today - but has anyone had a chance to look at it yet?

Ok so not a business class catering problem but I was very upset last night that there was no Banana Bread on board!!! I love the Banana bread (FA said none loaded as it wasn't breakfast). Considering you have a choice of about 6 snacks thought this sucked.

New menu attached.

The sourdough toasty was actually hot, tasty and really nice with a glass of moët.

Fantastic service as well

Fantastic

No Lanson, just Moet on the cart for Breakfast!
That's disappointing. I hope they haven't replaced the Lanson Black with Moët. IMHO, Moët is overpriced and over-marketed. It's not *bad* but it's one of my last choices of Champagne I'd have!

In that price range, Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label is a decent alternative - better than Moët IMO.

Agree. I'm very very over Vueve these days. I used to love it, but discovered a lot in the price range. Sub $70/bottle, the range is excellent for a 'quaffer' Champers (thanks to our great dollar).

Have to agree to disagree there, I don't think it is. QF has often left the cover over a desert in J when i've flown them.

If you go to a restaurant you dont get your food with a plastic lid over the top. If virgin are intending to serve Luke Mangan restaurant (or brasserie) style food, a plastic lid doesn't cut it.
J catering should be presented properly.
However the plastic lid has never been presented to me.

Considering booking ADL-SYD (DJ 401) and SYD-DRW (DJ 1351) or the same pairing back (DJ 1354 and DJ 444) in flexi to upgrade with half the points. Has anyone had any experience of the food service on the longer DRW sector? Is it indeed a 3 course meal?

There was a trip report on the drw meals, I think they were 3course and looked reasonable.
