I have just made a redemption booking with award saver for economy to travel to HKG in december. I made the booking via the SQ call centre I was surprised that it has allocated a 30KG baggage limit on my PDF itinerary. I have double checked by logging online and it shows that my booking has got a 30KG. Has anyone had the similar experience???

Not reward travel, but my travel agent booked me onto SQ, and the eTicket came through as having 30kg for my wife and I, and 3 year old son! Yay for economy flying SQ!

This is the info re booking class for my SQ ticket. Y @AU1S $ M1 I don't know what it means, other than Y. Maybe it makes sense to somebody else who can explain?

Is there a connecting flight on another carrier?

I'm flying SQ (MI Codeshare DRW-SIN ret) then onto Germany. My wife is DJ Gold, but that should only get her the Gold allowance. Anyway, can't complain!

Ok, so you are flying DRW-(SQ*MI)-xSIN-(SQ)-<Germany>

With MSC, the operating carrier for SIN/<Germany> each way should dictate the Checked Luggage allowance.

Again, still can't work out how we managed 30kg on any leg flying Y, but can't complain!
