After a couple of years lurking around AFF I have finally posted my 100th post. I feel a little proud although a long way off many of you avid users. Keep up the informative topics everyone. This forum has certainly taught me some valuable lessons.

You still need one more as this one in the Playground does not count :!:

Plus you will lose membership of the much-vaunted "under 100 posts" club!

Seriously though, good on you, and keep the posts coming.

And still on 99! Must be saving the 100th post for something special. ;)

If this was a game of cricket, you'd have been run out going for that single.

thread fail.

Isn't a tonne (or ton) a thousand?

Not in a car. A ton is 100 mph.

I first did the ton at the age of about 10 with grandad driving, on the south east freeway between Juliet St and Marshall Rd. The freeway finished at Marshall road in those days.

Oh yeah. That used to be a bit of a feat. "hitting the ton".

It's a bit scary ina 120Y, but I had an Alfasud that was rock steady at 100mph.

My current vehicles will do a ton without even making an effort, but there's no more of those signs with the black circle with a line through it. :(

The most surprising one was getting a Charade to hit the ton. 3 cylinder 800cc engine. Didn't try in my only Sud drive, the brakes were absolutely useless. Didn't matter anyway because only the tacho worked in the Sud.

Still here on 99....... Have been at National Sales Conference all week and have only been been lurking occasionally.... I think for my 100th I will start a new thread. Now if only I could think of one???
