I know there is another thread about the SIN lounge upgrades and rearrangements.

But this was my experience last night at around 18:15 for a 20:20 QF10 SIN-MEL departure.

Remember, this is still supposed to be a First Class lounge.

Arrival: Fine
Space: Almost standing room only. Making for an almost unpleasant experience. People were almost literally pouncing on seats as they became available.
Drinks: OK, I suppose from self-serve locations.
Food: Just the old J-lounge offerings. OK but just OK. There are much, much, MUCH better offerings for a just a few SGDs in the airport venues.
Newspapers: 2 day old newspapers?? See pic. Why?? It's a NEWSpaper, not a magazine.
Showers: Went to the attendant at around 18:30 and was told there would be a 20min wait. That was fine and I was given a beeper. At 19:15 I began to get worried. Went back and was very shabbily treated by the "matron". "Four other people!!!" got barked at me! And some other impolite/rude behaviour. Goodness!! At 19:20, I got beeped. This is the shower room - see pics. Dirty, no towels, no tissues, minimal amenities (meaning none). I got the towels sorted and did get a shaver kit. And later some tissues. And then someone walked into the shower room! There was nothing much First Class here!
Announcements: In the shower rooms there were none. And there are almost no flight monitors in the lounge (well, I looked near the showers and could not find any). At 19:45 I went from the showers to the front desk. It was Last Call for QF10. I made it OK but some may have been still in the shower area waiting for announcements.

All in all, not a great or even a good experience.

And this is Qantas First Class??

Not even tissues - how hard can it be?

Not liking it. Can't believe for a lounge in SIN that this is the quality there. (Yes it is QF/BA run but the people who do run the lounge are Singaporean, and they would certainly not find any of that acceptable).

What is that white fluff on the back of the door anyway? And are you saying the door lock was not functioning properly?

There should be another bottle of Molton Brown there, but there are no individual accessories. Other things like razor etc. are usually on request. (I can't remember the last time I was in QF/BA SIN F and they had everything there - it was always request, but the shower attendant was always a bit more proactive to prompt if you wanted these things. Doesn't seem like it this time!)

I'd be sending in a stern communication. Yes, it might be a dead effort, but this has no excuse.

Gosh we even had the Friday Australian papers in the SQ Business lounge on Friday night. And the showers were a lot better-cleaned before every new use.

I have no idea! And was not really wanting to find out! But why offer a room when it's so obviously dirty? I did lock the door - but might have left it unlocked when I eventually asked for tissues. Which was after I had to ask for a shaver kit, which was after I had to ask for towels.

We should remember that they still call this First Class.

I have always found SIN to be underwhelming - this isn't much worse to me. The only up side I see in this is that at least by the end of the year it should be a decent lounge.

Fly via HKG to EUR for the rest of the year.

(That's what you could say) ;)

Or BKK.
I found the QF/BA BKK F Lounge not bad at all. Certainly better than what is described above...

I was thinking The Pier F lounge. Number 2 after QF SYD/MEL F IMHO

Chalk and stinking old dry cheese comparing HKG with BKK. Only reason I go via or BKK is if there is no alternative (hard to finish a job in BKK if you aren't in BKK).

Kind of I was trying to say, without saying it. ;)
