Perhaps they thought their customers might show some patience, after all it's a free offer....And it's only a few weeks old, in the meantime you might want to checkout the multiquote facility!

Perhaps, but if they wanted to really excel it would have taken a very small amount of time to add in a time-frame for delivery to commence!

As another poster mentioned, they travel alot over weekends, so now how do we know when the delivery will start and if/how/when we need to stop weekend deliveries.

Given this weekend is the first real chance for them to deliver, its very impatient, and if you miss the delivery what have you lost, a paper that cost you nothing, cest la vie!

Missing the point, and as I said I don't expect deliveries so start for at least a week or three after the 2nd of May once all the data is probably sent off for processing.

As another poster mentioned and I agreed, I don't' want a newspaper sitting in my mail box for days on end, which would indicate I am not at home. Hence why I would like to know when the deliveries would start.

Also nothing to do with being impatient, it's about time-frames, which is something VA struggles to clearly mention

VA have a problem with implementation of their great ideas, THIS IS YET ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE AND IT DOES SHOW THAT VA DOES NOT THINK IMPLEMENTATION OF IDEAS THROUGH FULLY

My use of ALL CAPS was intended as parody.

He wasn't being serious, he was just whinging that I dare criticise VA again...

Yes, given i was the one that first raised the issue clearly i have no capacity to criticise VA or tolerate others doing so. Well spotted.

Maybe they just assume it's not necessary for the 98% of the population who have realistic expectations?

Please excuse us for not being mind readers and instantly recognising that intention . Alas, age doth weary my abilities :(

The use of emoticons can subvert any confusion. Please consider their use

If anyone who got the offer isn't interested, please feel free to have it sent my way :)

Of course......

More like, yet again, they didn't think that people would be CURIOUS when deliveries would start  Like the IFE, full J service on all aircraft... etc etc etc

So the 2nd of May has passed and still no confirmation email or update, again, I am not surprised

You guys are fortunate - whoever is sponsoring this promo. I self-fund my subscription!

Should try to fly more to reach Plat level.. Then what?? Guess then I would rarely be at home to enjoy my hard copy of FR :)

I was on the phone this AM to VA on another matter and asked about the Fin Review offer - girl had no idea what I was talking about. She put me on hold for 40 secs and said no one else in the office did either.... Weird right?? She said she'd lodge the query and someone would call back (won't hold my breath though).

Having a horrible thought maybe it was a scam?! Their DB get hacked?

Sorry, the significance of the 2nd of May is what?

That was the date you had to accept the offer by, one would assume by now you would have received further correspondence and/or a time frame from when deliveries would start, but as this is Virgin I am not surprised at all.

Seems unlikely the links in the email appear to be legitimate.

Correct

I can only laugh, I really can

VA really don't have a clue

One would assume that they have an internal bulletin/noticeboard system on their computers. A quick click on Platinum Members, New Offers and it should be listed

This just shows, again, they have quite a way to go if this is the best way they can look after their "most valued members"

Same here - very nice find on the way to the morning swim!

Thanks for posting, didn't not expect to see a delivery given I live near the CBD in a complex, but it seems my Neighbours are honest as I have a copy of today's AFR after a quick walk around the grounds!

Same here but I will need to suspend delivery in 2 weekends time when I go to Cbr for Ozfest...can you access the online version for free if you have a paper subscription, albeit only the w/e?

Nothing here I noticed, unless it's not where the other papers get left (SMH always gets left on the letterbox). I'll have a more detailed look in the front yard shortly.

Perhaps it has blown away with the wind :)
