I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade my Qantas flight, when I get enough points. My booking was made with Qantas. The first leg of the flight is with Jetstar and then second leg with Qantas. The Qantas flight is the one I want to upgrade. Is it possible to do so even though one leg is with JQ?

How did you book your flights?

With Points or with $$$?

Domestic or international?

Domestic (MCY-SYD-MEL) and used $$$, Why?

The reason for the question is, international flights can not be upgraded if they are booked in certain classes, and no flights can be upgraded if they were booked with points (classic awards). As your flight is domestic and booked with money, it would be upgradeable.

Although, if you are NB, I don't like your chances of success.

Domestically?

Does it not depend on U availability?

Do WP's have greater access to U availability, or is it a free for all?

Youre correct. No preferential treatment for WPs on domestic upgrades. If there is U available, you can upgrade.

If the OP lets us know the date and flight number we can look it up on expert flyer and check. If no U exists, a seat alert can be setup with an email notification should some be released (and then they can upgrade via manage my booking).
