Surprised no-one has mentioned (or I have missed) ...

Brand new A330 has been delivered to Virgin (went to Melbourne)

It's on The VA Source website.

It's delivery has been noted in a thread somewhere, but what we actually want to know is what the J cabin looks like!

Given it did not sub for Broken I suspect its a significant change that needs to be revealed soon, otherwise the cat would have been out of the bag.

Well there are rumours, and there are rumours. Presume you know the same ones as I do ;)

So it's called "Mooloolaba Beach" dunno if this has been reported before.

Wonder if they will run out of beachs by the time new A330 now 4 comes online from the factory in Dec?

I had a went and had a look at XFC sitting in her hangar on Sunday. Looks very shiny.

Naturally, the closest I could get was on the other side of a large fence.

Some how come this one snuck in under the cover of darkness but the 2nd one was received in Toulouse to much fan fare and media attention? Are they not both the same?

Indeed, as above, I forgot that one arrived a few weeks ago and then this one for "publicity"

Who knows really!

The launch of the product timed to the delivery of the second aircraft and also gave them an opportunity to go to France!

No different to XFC though ?

The MEL-PER and extra SYD-MEL A330 services start in about three weeks. Presumably they preferred the mass media launch of the new configuration to occur closer to its entry into service. And presumably VH-XFC has been used for FA training in the meantime to keep the media contingent on the delivery flight sufficiently impressed (although maybe it's done entirely in cabin mockups... I'm not sure.).

And, as a fan of consistency, you should be impressed to know that DJ took delivery of VH-XFA several weeks before VH-XFB last year, but the public unveiling did not occur until about 3 weeks before SYD-PER flights were launched! ;)
