Tips to get rid of Huntsman spiders

Gees - picked up SWMBO from the airport one night, coming out of the CNS airport rd - this massive thing dropped out of the vent and across the dash - what was worse than the screaming (from her) and the swearing (from me) was that it was dark and I had no idea where he went but he was freaking huge!!

So there we were, hastily pulled over on the dirt, car evacuated, all doors open with a flashlight trying to find him.

Given CNS airport road has the occasional speed hump in the form of a croc I would have gotten over my spider fear for a little while, maybe not?

I usually try and catch them, however not like this:

I had enough screaming to deal with at the time without making it worse by reminding SWMBO of the "Achtung" warnings ;)

I did however make it closer to the lights before pulling over :)

lol

I'm sure that picture would be a lot different if it wasn't a baby croc.

That was only a month or so ago in the middle of Mulgrave Rd opposite the show grounds.

They come out of that creek all the time.

A bigger broom perhaps? Works well on spiders as well as crocs.

Meh! I used to swim in the inlet during the mid-80s. Was more worried about the stingers and sharks.
