Qantas thanks its most loyal customers

A very broad, sweeping over-generalisation - this WP has gained and then maintained his status by self-funded travel only - not even tax deducatable.

Likewise for this soon to be WP, all self funded non deductible (unless I can claim it as work related stress relief :D)
Make that four :!: (We have two self funded WPs)

Does this only refer to people impacted by the grounding? Or does it include other flights cancelled in the earlier strikes?

RedRoo, not trying to take the gloss off a good offer (How I was it extended to JQ bookings as well:mrgreen:), but do you have an answer for QF's loyal customers who are trying to find an answer to the Lounge Access situation at LHR T5?

We have flights to Melbourne this week so that will help our points tally. THANKYOU QANTAS.

However like mannej we would like an answer to the Lounge access at Terminal 5 .

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

If I understand the offer correctly, this increases the value of ASAs during the promotion period.

I also find it interesting that the bonus for Gold is 50% and for Silver 25%, rather than the 75% and 50% that they receive as a result of the recent enhancement. If I recall correctly there was a reasonable amount of discussion on these increases at the time and a fair bit of dissatisfaction from some Platinums. Perhaps this could be seen as some kind of acknowledgement of feedback by Qantas.

WoW!

Shame my DFW journey was at the end of last month, not at the end of this ...

Not wanting to rub it in too much (okay, maybe a little), but I'm happy my DFW trip is coming up in Nov/Dev.

With that many bonus points, I may even try to upgrade from PE (seated in J) to J, and try to get an F seat.

Today, Qantas celebrates 91 years of flying and it is our pleasure to offer our most loyal members bonus Qantas Frequent Flyer points.

From 16 November 2011 until 23 December 2011 Platinum members receive a 100% bonus, Gold members receive a 50% bonus, Silver and selected Bronze members receive a 25% bonus Frequent Flyer points for all Qantas flights (with a QF flight number on your ticket). This is for existing and new bookings and over and above the total points you normally earn.

In addition, if you were directly impacted by industrial action you will be offered a unique Qantas gift or experience, such as complimentary membership to epiQure by Qantas Frequent Flyer – the online food and wine community, a Qantas’ First Lounge or Qantas Club invitation, a voucher for Qantas Valet or Qantas Drive, or a complimentary Q Bag Tag, depending on your tier status.

Emails will be sent shortly to members with full details, terms and conditions.

Any questions just let me know via this thread or via PM.

Thanks from here too Red Roo.. As someone who was caught up in the grounding an extra gift (on top of the free flight) is always welcome!

And happy birthday to the Big Q as well..

Great promotion, Happy Birthday QANTAS.

I've got a stack of QF sectors over that period, happy days. :)

I got very excited, as I'm part way through a DONE4, but then I realised only QF flight numbers, even though the booking was all completed by QF. Since I'm flying MEL-LAX-DFW-MCO-MIA-ORD-HKG-PVG-HKG-MEL-AKL-MEL, I've only got a few sectors it's not going to have an big an impact as I hoped, but hey, not really complaining! :) Would love it for all though, then the family would fly to Thailand with me next year! :)

Make that eight.

Make me 9, and my girlfriend as #10 ;)

We are flying out tomorrow on QF31 SYD-SIN

I'm in Y ... so it's 7,816 x 2 = 15,632 ff points. Very noice!

The girlfriend is in J(asa) ... 9,770 x 2 = 19,540 ff points. Very very noice!

Now I wonder if our return QF320 (on BA15) would qualify for these 2x bonus :)

Flights are posting today with the normal number of points.

Hi odoherty,

You will definitely get the bonus points for travel taken today but these will be awarded to your account as separate line item.
They will appear on your account soon with BONUS POINTS – QANTAS 91[SUP]ST[/SUP] BIRTHDAY THANK YOU as the description . If they are not credited to your account within a few weeks, feel free to PM me.

Cheers,
Red Roo

Mrsdrron is happy-LAX-BNE next week in J(with F seats).
Now if you are not a "selected"bronze but on a flight you make silver status would you get the bonus? If I switch my Aadvantage number to QFF I would make silver on the LAX-BNE flight.
And also what does disruption mean-We were booked to fly on November 1 and as we had no idea whether the QF flight would be happening switched to BA on the Saturday night,Not helped by QF still regarding the changed flight as a classic award flight so not awarding points or SCs-presumably snowed under with the workload. We both consider we have been disrupted.

Thanks for the nice little bonus! :)

I've got a flight booked on 24 Dec, but have potential to move to evening of 23rd. Hmmm, to do or not to do...
