Thanks :) Called Citibank and the confirmed the offer was on its way to me they have been having some mail delays - so those who haven't received yet don't give up hope!

I'll believe it if it turns up

But I have a Citibank MasterCard Platinum card. Is the offer good for MasterCard too? Has anyone with a MasterCard got it?

Was free gold> free platinum > now free for life signature.
I am in regional NSW so I suspect most people will have the offer popping in their mailbox soon.
Strange to see the Platinum tag devalued so easily.
Whats next?

I upgraded this morning as I had recieved the cards late yesterday. The details are in the FAQ that came with the new cards as to what you need to do to regester your priority pass details.

Jonno

has anyone managed to enrol in prioritypass with the special citibank code in the faqs?

when i reach the billing screen, the default and only card type option is amex - after clicking continue, i receive a select card type error and cannot proceed! (doesn't matter if i enter a citibank signature or amex number)

i called citibank who said to contact prioritypass whom i've emailed and waiting for a reply

What is the code? I lost the FAQ paper was wondering how I'm going to enrol.

EDIT 1: Just found this but I haven't received any form.

"Signature cardholders must enrol for the Priority Pass Standard Membership using the enrolment form we will provide you with your Signature card. Once you have enrolled, please allow up to 15 working days for your Priority Pass card to arrive in the mail."

http://www.citibank.com.au/CardsOnline/Signature.htm?Code=Q1C9BX96

EDIT 2: Called Citibank. The guy wanted me to go to http://www.prioritypass.com/citibankaus/

I did while on the phone. The site asked me to type in an "invitation code". I asked the rep what my invitation code is. He didn't know anything about it. Then he said he requested the card for me and I'll receive it in 14 days. It doesn't sound so convincing but I'll wait and see.

Hi all,

I was looking into this card, and it seems like the QFF earning is still 1pt per $ Spent, and only if enrolled into the stupid $49 Qantas thingy.

I've got a Citibusiness Gold and was considering upgrading but it doesn't seem like its worth it?

Just got the upgrade offer, and didn't have to call them, so if in WA, yours may still be in the post.

Has anyone figured out any negatives to the free-for-life upgrade yet?

I'm off with only phone internet for a couple of days possibly, but will have a look at the insurance pds and compare it.

Obviously some merchants may start charging for 'premium' cards, but that's the only downside that I see currently. I also sweep to Qantas, but that may also change soon, especially in light of the 5 points per $ int spend. What are the conversion rates for other airlines?

signature card arrived in the mail last night with supplementary card as well.... enrolling in priority pass quite straightforward...
only catch its my supplementary cardholder that does the travelling and i was the the one eligible for the priority pass, meaning he cannot visit unaccompanied...

workaround, just enrolled him on the PP website... dont think there will be a problem...fingers crossed

I received mine today as well. Need to activate by Nov 30, otherwise offer withdrawn. Info that came suggests that it will remain 1 QFF point per $1 spent. Is that everyone else's understanding? Now, should I still bother about applying for citibusiness Gold???
Some hope for me then...

Just received mine today too. On the page with the card attached, on the right hand side about level with the top of the card:

"From 1 March 2012 the QFF earn rate will will change to 1 point for every $2 spent."

...but if you read the 3rd paragraph on the page the card is attached on, it states" There has never been a better time to upgrade to the new Signature card to earn 1 Qantas Frequent Flyer point for every dollar spent and unlimited Qantas Frequent Flyer points. (If you choose to remain on your current Platinum card, the earn rate will change to 1 pont per $2 spent from 1 April 2012 as outlined in the enclosed Rewards Varition Notice". I'm really confused now...
