Thought I'd chime in as I received an invite also - guess that takes the tally up to 12. Travelling ex-CBR.

I've been a internet only forum-er to date, so it will be nice to finally put some faces to the names I've seen on this site for the past few years.

Quick update, have received a PM from Red Roo seconds ago. Stated that they we should start receiving calls to arrange flights Tomorrow at the earliest.

On the commercial in confidence question, Red Roo responded:

...while we will be sharing a lot about the program which we do not usually discuss with members, none of it will be commerically sensitive and you are more than welcome to tweet/blog and share.

Red Roo,

You work too late mate!!

I think we should have a word with Simon next week about a reasonable roster for you ;)

Sounds good! At home though so no dramas reading through the threads. Though this one is far more entertaining at 10pm than some of the others.

In regards to transport we will sort out something from Sydney airport to the city. Might just be someone meeting you at the airport to pay for taxis but we'll ensure it is covered.

And just when you thought you had figured out all those invited, I can tell you that 16 people were PMed last night. So a bigger group that we thought initially. Luckily we know the right people at Rockpool to increase our booking.

LOL, if you guys didn't have those contacts I'd be more than a little concerned ;)

The 16th spot was no doubt reserved for Lawlass to self-win ;)

I didn't even enter because I thought it would be restricted to WPs. Now that I see otherwise I'm kicking myself

So yes please, Red Roo, as per the wonderful good sportsmanship of the crew on the Anytime Access Wake, I'd hereby like to op-up myself to a position at the table on Thursday

-1. Lawlass* is a real trouble maker - you bosses wouldn't look you in the eye after the event should she be invited ;P

(*I know Lawlass is going to roast me for this polite needling, but in my defence she's not followed through on her post F Lounge run promise to lick my boots clean *snort*)

(b) You are lucky they're not putting me in the same room as you. Be afraid boy, be very afraid

I apologize for poking the blue ringed octopus ;)

That sounds vaguely like an insult. I mull on it for a while.

By the way, are any on the list girls? Can I run with a threat of exposing rampant sexism in Qantas's FF program?

I have the potential to be a great girl...probably. However I'm not going to the event of the year. I am spending vast amounts of wonga to travel to the UK on QF metal.

On the grounds that I am not able to attend, am incompetent, and any questions I would have asked were bound to be less than good, can I vote that Lawlass attends the event to bring a semblance of sanity/insanity? :p

She will write an excellent report I'm sure!!

For those of us coming from Melbourne (drewbles, melbourne rebel, bugayev) we should plan time and location in the Business Lounge to meet? I can only presume they will put us on the same flight.

Add me to this list. :) I'm from Sydney, but working in Melbourne pretty much every Mon-Fri these days, so will be flying MEL-SYD-MEL. It's going to be a busy week of domestic flying!

Presume the plan for most will be to catch a Thurs morning flight and fly back Thurs afternoon/evening? I'm up for a drink afterwards. Looks like a good group of AFFers. Keen to meet everyone! :)

Cheers,
- Febs.

Anyone been contacted by the team at Qantas yet?

That's a no from me also. I'm sure they'll get in contact with us Monday (the flights on the thursday are looking pretty full on the way back to MEL; maybe they'll have to put us in J ;))
