Random flight delay - due to staffing issues in the Tower - ex CBR

Had my first QF delay ex CBR yesterday (not bad after 6 months of weekly flights). Had to wait for some passengers from the previous service (Dash-8) where the a/c went unserviceable.

Finally started taxiing, and then sat on the tarmac. PA announcement "Delayed due to staffing issues in the Control Tower". It wasn't a long delay, but random!

Oh ok. I don't remember an announcement today on QF 562 about tower staffing issues, but we took on some passengers from an inoperable dash 8 Flight as well and seemed to sit on the Tarmac in Canberra for some time. Thought it could've been the same flight.
