Flying out Adl/Syd DJ Y, Syd/Bkk QF 744/F, Bkk/Hkg Thai 744/F, Hkg/Bkk CX 744/F, Bkk/Hkg/Sin Emirates 388/F and United 744/F, Sin/Syd QF 388/F and back to Adl on QF Y

So will get to experience F on:

QF flights are FASAs (~240k points). The rest I paid for. Flights were booked about 4 months ago.

Some price were amazing, like BA Bkk to Sin for A$10k. Yes you read that right. The Emirates/United Bkk to Sin was ~A$1.5k (couldn't find any Bkk/Sin direct F flights) with the Thai/Cathay Bkk/Hkg/Bkk costing ~A$1.4k. You can get good prices flying out from Bkk. Except for the FASAs all the other flights were booked with Expedia.

Leaving Sun 21 Aug. My first visit to the FLounge as a F Pax. :shock: Sort of feel like I'm letting the WP brotherhood down, gaining FLounge access on a F BP. :shock: Will be nice to be able to book a massage in advance. Will also be interesting noting now the ground and FA staff treat a WP F Pax instead of a WP travelling -Y.

The various Lounges will also be interesting.

Doing all the various F Lounges is one part of the F Taster Run (see my updated post with the FLounge schedule). Gotta see how the other side lives as when I get back it will be post 24 Aug and I can then set my travel for the rest of my QF year (until end April 2012).

I do expect good things from the Thai F Lounge at Bkk. Like a out of this world Thai massage.

I gotta say I have never been so excited about flying for a very long time than now. All those F flights and the associated F Lounges. And it was not that expensive thanks to the QF FASAs.

As for the FLounge massages, is this list correct?

Next trip for sure.

Must say that without the FASAs booked at ~240k points, this F taster would have been way too expensive as QF F prices are just over the moon. However 4 F flights on Emirates, Cathay, Thai and United cost ~A$3k. With the associated FLounges I consider that very good value. I also found that doing this from Bkk as a base was much lower cost than using Hkg as the base. There is something about flying out from Bkk that seems to really drive the flight cost down.
