Went to checkmytrip.com website today and WOW:shock:

Way better, easier to see information, phone apps, flight maps, trip tools etc :D

They have come into the 21st century

Looks great, and I love that you can save your itinerary now, but am I blind? I can't seem to find where to view the seat availability on my flights any more. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

I prefer the old one - it uses less bandwidth.

classic.checkmytrip.com, however seat maps appear to have been removed from this. :(

To get a seatmap with the new CMT, after bringing up your booking, at the top right of each trip summary is a symbol. Click this to "open" the trip showing its segments.

At the bottom right of each segment summary is the same symbol. Click this to show segment details.

In there you may see "Seat assignment:" and a seat number. Click the seat number or the symbol to the right of the seat number to bring up a seat map.

Thanks Serfty, you're a legend! I tried classic first, as although the new site has its benefits, the old one was more intuitive, but as you said, they've removed seat maps!

I cannot get a seat number or map no matter what symbol I click on. I am trying on a trip with just a single segment.

Another example of an 'enhancement' where the actual functionality is removed with absolutely no additional benefit.

I know it's a bit of thread necromancy but it would appear that the mobile version of the website has seat maps showing what's taken, what's available and allocated seating for the current booking....
