I thought about coming along but two things stopped me.

1. I am unsociable.
2. My FF year ends on the 31st July and I'm keen to collect SC's from 1st August.

:p

Keep in mind, we are flying Jetstar, 50/50 chance our flight will be delayed more than 24hrs. So you might just be able to claim them for your next membership year after all! :D

am someone late to this thread. so despite being a Syd w/end appears most flying jq35 and some staying in mel, others coming back to syd on roughly 7pm flights.

thinking of coming back on va to see the new lounge (trial access for qf/ ppass) - does anyone know if/when you can use sq points on va - i have a stack expiring in sep, otherwise will use velocity points

There's a few of us flying down from Brisbane that will be arriving around 9am (from memory) and will be making use of the arrivals lounge access before heading over to the JQ35 check in.

I would have been there, being someone who has taken JQi from SYD to MEL over a dozen time - all in StarClass. (Back in the day this could earn 40SC's for ~$229)

However, I am booked to be in DFW that particular weekend.

Moving forward, I don't see this as an option of getting some extra points while having fun with the new JQ fares you need to get points :(

Will still do it for the fun of it and some extra F Lounge time

Well you've made me do it , today I booked to fly up to Sydney on Qf422 Saturday just so I can fly back on JQ 35 Saturday, I will need to drink a lot of champagne in the first class lounge get a massage and have lunch, god I hope all you AFF people doing this are not like train spotters hehehehe

I suspect "plane spotters" might be more appropriate!!! :p

I haven't seen any trench coats at AFF gatherings... And, while some people do look out the window at various planes when in the F lounge, (and even run late for their flight because they're watching the SQ A380 take off), the focus is more on other things like the quality of food, the range of champagne etc.

Not sure you'll squeeze in a massage, but worth a try. Perhaps you'll have to instead drink plenty of champagne ;)

1. Golf on both Saturday and Sunday morning
2. It is a JQ flight....

2. It is a JQ flight....

After 3 hours in the F Lounge, you don't even notice the JQ flight :) I have a cunning plan this time around to replicate a TR I read previously where the TR-er managed to sample the complete red wine list during a single visit :)

I wonder what would happen if you spent a couple of hours in the F Lounge and then decided not to bother getting on the JQ flight??

I'm sure you could milk it til the last flight of the day... get yourself removed around 8pm, then head home

Who was that? What a great idea!

THey cannot do anything to you for deciding not to board the JQ flight but if they come looking for you in the lounge then you may not be able to hang around for very long after boarding.

Anyway I am sure I made that suggestion a while back that if anyone wanted to be guested into the F lounge then pay for my JQ ticket and I will guest you into the F Lounge and then not board.
