Just got this off the email notification now, and thought a few of you SC chasers might find it of interest.

Europe Business Class Companion Fare from $5167 plus taxes per person

Fly April-September, DM me if you want the rest of the rules

TG

Would this be the same as here?

also noticed Dom business companion fare
"Get on the inside track with our incredible sale when two or more people book and travel together in International or Domestic Business"

is this the first heavily Disc J offer? OW D class SYDMEL normally is 585. at 399 to MEL just above flex fare = to current Corp Plus DJ fare

Travel dates on the business fares include both June/July school holidays and Christmas school holidays at least from ADL.

Same from PER - definitely trying to get leisure travellers who wouldn't normally fly Business to do so during traditionally quieter times of the year for premium passengers by the look of things.

I could easily head to Europe in December/January and considering the relatively high price of Economy fares at this time of year this deal is extremely enticing, but I need to find myself a companion to make it work! :(

Agreed - but didn't you get the email direct from QF?

Yes I get QF emails.....in fact I get them 4 times as the kids ones come into the central email.
I did not read it because most days I am deluged with messages that I delete.
I dont think I am an orphan with emails.

I am interested in this Qantas Global sale, and have some questions which I hope some forumites may be able to clarify.

I have read the terms and conditions (T&C) but am still not clear about a few things. I understand that the tickets are valid for 12 months. For example, I book our flights, say SYD to LHR, departing in early July and returning in late December, and pay $6K each for J class - for me and hubby. However, before departure date or returning date I would like to change it - maybe a few days earlier or a few days later.

Q1: Is it correct that I can change the departure date or returning date online, without penalty? I guess, if there are J seats available for the new dates, then I should be able to do this? I am not sure if I have to pay more? (like red-e deals, I can change the flights and dates but I inevitably have to pay more as the fares have become more expensive).

Q2: The T&C said we cannot change the itinerary, I think this means that we cannot change SYD - LHR, to SYD - FRA. Is this correct?

Q3: The T&C said we are allowed one stopover in each direction. So, if I want SYD - HKG (stopover) - LHR, and then LHR - SIN (stopover) - SYD, then it should not cost any more? Is this correct?

Thanks.

If it's the fare I posted that you're referring too, there is indeed a change fee ($300 when changing direct with Qantas - I charge my clients $450 including my service charge to cover my time) and you need to bear in mind that this fare is booked into I Class, which can (especially when fares like this are released) be quite difficult to secure on specific flights and dates, so it may not be possible to change later on without being extremely flexible.

TG

PS. RE: Q3, yes thats correct, it'll only cost you the local taxes for HKG or SIN depending on where you stopover but the fare should remain the same.
