I missed getting a QF award seat for my return from LHR and find that only BA is available on my departure date.
Most reviews I've found are 2 or 3 years old & probably out of date. Anyone tried CW recently, has it improved? Seems a bit crowded.

I have flown CW about 10 times in the last 3 years and will be flying them again in July. I really like the seats, especially with the divider screen you can't see your neighbour so it is a very private environment. Service on BA is not as good as on QF but the fact that the seats are fully flat as compared to the skyslopes is a + for me.

Enjoy the trip!

I have only flown the 747 recently (last week) and found the service much improved over recent experience and the food actually edible on some flights.

I like the lie flat beds and would generally choose BA over QF 747 for that reason.

Good to hear the food has improved after reading old TR's about dry roast beef & soggy yorkshire pudding.
Mrs B's not to keen on the centre couples seats, prefers a window. Will look at the option of purchasing seat allocation (65 pounds). Do you still have to climb over the aisle pax's feet to exit seat?
I'll look forward to the lay flat seat.

In regard to lounge access, as I am using a QF award with a BA flight number (BA15), will I have access to QF or BA lounge at LHR.

Thanks

They do create a little mini cabin feel once you put the two divider walls up. When travelling with Mrs Mille she insits on row 10EF on 777 and row 17EF on 747
As SG I have never had to pay for seat selection but when I have done the online check in at T-24 almost all seats have been up for grabs.

Yes, whilst sometimes a bit tricky I never had any trouble with it. It is a bit the same as being in the window seat on QF and having to climb over the aisle seat pax to get out. Or maybe not, BA is higher to get over. If this might be a problem I would suggest row 15EF.

Thanks

QF and BA are in the same lounge in Terminal 3

thanks again, & MrsB has managed to get row 14 window & aisle seats (as 15 is blocked).
Looking forward to the BA Lounge at LHR.
