Interesting thing happened today...

Did the OLCI for a NTL-MEL flight tomorrow and discovered that I had been pre-allocated 1D by the system. I definitely didn't prebook a PE ticket (actually booked this one ages ago so it's a cheapie) and this may well be a rogue AC with no PE seating but I've never had this happen before.

I have been bumped up to the PE seats at the Lounge on quite a few occasions, and been bumped up onboard on a few recent flights but I've never seen it preallocated. Usually row 4 is the best you can get online (and I usually get it). Any other DJ golds had this happen?

Is this new? Oh, and is it a glitch and will I be reporting tomorrow that I got bumped back to 27F when onboard?

My last flight on the 28th I was only able to choose row 4, 1/2/3 still was highlighted red, but when I got onboard it was a rogue aircraft and completely empty. Wish I’d been able to get row 1.

I'm always pre allocated 1F, but im always booked in PE. I have a flight from Per-Syd in April in Economy so will be interesting to see where i am seated..... :!:

I will ba ASKING for 1D & 1F on that flight.

Well, reporting it. It was a "rogue" aircraft with no PE but I was the only one in row 1 and legroom was excellent. hopefully they'll make a habit of this.

My DJ flight last week I could only select row 4 during OLCI. Got on board and rows 2 and 3 where in Y configuration with all 3 seats occupied. Row 1 was in PE configuration.

I had a similar experience out of BNE a few weeks ago.

I was a little pre occupied at the time and promptly forgot about it.

That happens all the time. Row 4 back are reserved for OLCI - with status pax getting first dibs on 4&5 - and rows 2+3 get filled with ordinary punters if the flight is full. It's slightly frustrating although you can often get those rows at physical checkin or in the lounge.
