Of course, such "donations" may already accounted for in the form of a budgetary "bucket" set aside for such donations(/promotion/advertising).... They are just giving away the shareholders' profits.

And are fully tax deductible, had the same pot been returned to shareholders who are taxed at personal levels after franking credits for company tax then that pot would have been considerably smaller even if it was passed on in full to one cause.
