Emirates Airbus A380 taken out of service by a catering truck

Those bloody A380's. That's why I always prefer Boeings. When did you last see a report about this happening to a 747? :mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::lol:
 
At least EK have a giant stash load of these aircraft, or at least a huge stash of money to access, so I don't think this'll put a dampener in their plans for world domination... er, I mean, operations.

Although the caterers are not owned by them, I wonder if Air Canada paid off the driver to do something odd to the truck ;)

The photo implies it was the right/starboard wing that was damaged. I think I know where there is a spare A380 starboard wing they may be able to borrow for a few months ;). Might just be a challenge getting it to Canada :p.

This will only add to the current cold war between the Canadian and the UAE governments with regards to EK flight access to Canadian cities. Me thinks that the UAE is winning that war..........unless Canada stops EK airspace rights for flights into the US!

It's that overseas maintenance causing the issue again... wouldn't have happened if that plane was actually in Dubai being serviced at the time that the truck lift lost control...
