Oprah, QANTAS and Australia!

I can’t remember where it was noted about her carbon footprint flying in on her own jet ;)

I wonder if she would have had the A380 not had any problems.
Oprah mix with the common folk - not likely!

And why do people fall for the impression that she is generous? The car stunt was courtesy of the car-maker, and she sure as hell isn't dipping into her own pocket to fly all these people out to Australia.

And she LOVES Qantas - just not enough to actually fly with them...

And again with the misinformation - Oprah merely facilitated the giveaway. The computers were donated by HP and Microsoft. They should get the credit, not the big O. Has she dipped into her own pocket at any of these stunts? I suspect never - you don't get to be a billionaire by giving it away...

And does anyone else find it ironic that almost all the Australian celebrity guests she had come on to her show had to fly in to the country from the US where they live?

"Yes, Australia is such a wonderful country!" Just not quite wonderful enough to actually live here. Not that I'm a particularly big Russell Crowe fan, but at least Rusty still lives here!

Re: Oprah has left the country

Correct, she has not got time to wait in lounges when time is money:

Its her third after a Challenger then a GIV.

Saw this at Execujet when I was at Sydney airport Saturday, certainly looks like a nice way to travel the world.

Accidentally noticed while checking my sister's flight to Nadi:

Did she have to come back? because I saw a jet that looked very much like that one land and taxi away from the runway at about 15:45 from the T2 QP. Well I thought it looked a bit more light blue then white, thought it might have been an airforce VIP jet. Couldn't whip out the phone camera quickly enough.
