A BAN on passengers carrying liquids in hand luggage during flights departing from British airports was set to be scrapped, the UK transport secretary said today.

Philip Hammond said the restrictions would be phased out starting in April 2011.

Great news....when will the US, Aust and the rest of the world follow? I always found it strange that you could carry liquids onboard for domestic trips within Australia, but not on international trips from Australia

So how would this work flying LHR-SIN-SYD. You can't carry liquids SIN-SYD so anything you can take through LHR you can't take through SIN...
