Tiger rips Stripes off its customers

Ryanair has nothing on Tiger when it comes to finding new ways to charge customers for extras.
It confirmed this morning that it wants people to pay $29.95 per year to be put on its Stripes mailing list to get ‘priority’ access to special fares and promotions.

LOL - wonder if their emails will be as timely as their refunds.

Not sure that I would even be prepared to pay $29.95 to fly on them, let alone pay to receive their newsletter!

LMAO! Funniest thing ever.

Knowing Tiger though they'll probably cancel it before they launch it then take 3 months to refund :p

Best $29.95 I've ever spent. Stripes does what it promises. Gives those prepared to pay the membership fee access to all the cheapies before the bogans get to them.

Picked up HBA-MEL-HBA for $14 next year. I don't check a bag and I'm quite happy to use web check in. No complaints here. I'm quite happy to use TT.

Well I am a spoilt and pampered traveller.i would not subscibe even if they paid me $30.:p:lol::shock::idea:

Doesn't that make you one of them?:D

LOL The naievity of youth, you have of course put aside $500-800 for the hotel you will need in Melbourne when they cancel your return and cannot find a spare seat for 6 days......which of course will be your problem.

haha exactly. Please provide a TR :)

I'm from Tasmania, aren't we all bogans in the eyes of you big city folk :p

I've taken about 12 return trips with TT and the strike rate is 100% so far.

I will admit that i've almost missed a flight with them but that was my own fault (didn't check my emails). Lesson learned

Sounds like you are overdue for a couple of failures then.

If you fly Tiger, you are a bogan. End of story.........

Exactly what I was thinking, although a little less for the hotel, and a 100% strike rate can only last so long :(

LOL!

LOL. Is Tiger serious or are they seeking more publicity?

As noted near the start of this thread, this already received publicity :p

Well it's more of a 'club' where you get pre-access to specials than simple a mailing list.

What a bunch of pretentious snobs here. I am another who will fly Tiger when the price and timing is right. Get over yourselves, bogans fly first class too.
