I'm going back to the US in Nov but am going through LAX to get to SFO due to QF cancelling my direct SFO flight.
Once I've cleared immigration at LAX, and dumped my bags at the transit counter to go to SFO, can I get a shower in the AA lounge in t3 before I go onto SFO? I'm QP Silver

AA Lounge in t3? This is none ... There is one in T4. (Are you flying AA metal?)

If T4 then - Yes!

Ask about a shower (make a booking if necessary) at the service desk immediately you arrive upstairs at the A/C.

QF3217 - I suspect its a codeshare. Not had time to check yet.

QF3217 is indeed AA (currently listed as a 737-800) dep 1215 arr 1335 LAX-SFO.

Would be v. strange for it to leave from T3.

Departure: Los Angeles
Terminal 3
Date: Fri x Nov 10 Time: 12:15 Arrival: San Francisco
Terminal 3
Date: Fri x Nov 10 Time: 13:35 Meal: Lunch

FlyboyAl,

Something is messed up. AA1936 (what you'll be on) departs Terminal 4 in LAX, but arrives Terminal 3 in SFO.

The showers in T4 Admirals Club are wonderful. I usually fly out of T4 soon after arriving in LAX and they make you feel human again :)

Like serfty said, see the people at the desk (upstairs, not the desk where you walk in) because sometimes there is a wait.

Hmmm.
Everything I read indicates it should be T4. I'll wait a few weeks and then ring Mr Qantas to make enquiries.
Thanks everyone - I'll work on it being T4

Its also AA1936 and AA have it departing from T4. Note that it arrived into SFO Terminal 3, so perhaps is the confusion.

Yes, I'm looking forward to a roast turkey fillet with gravy and sauces, served with blanched vegetables and hash browns.
Is that what I should expect?

Don't expect the agent on the other end of the telephone to know as much as you - or the collective knowledge of this forum.;)

I'd be e-mailing an enquiry to frequent_flyer(at)qantas.com.au in relation to where this AA metal flight actually departs from.

That gives the respondent time for proper research before answering rather than being pressured to dig it up while you are hanging on to the phone..
