SMH Delta Y Review

Sounds like a fun flight.

Beef or chicken offered. "In what style?" I ask. "One's beef, the other's chicken," I'm told. There's also a lacklustre cluster of sides, including a salad that would make a rabbit weep. Breakfast is even more insipid.

Cool that they offer HBO movies, but surely on a full-service carrier (they are, aren’t they?) that should be free, not be an extra charge, no matter how little.

Liked the video, very informative. Runs a long time though, do they run that long on Qantas?

They're as 'full-service' as US carriers get! I'm not aware of HBO content being available on any other IFE so not sure about this.

The safety demo is 1:20 approx longer than QFs current English-Only video.

I reckon the Air NZ safety video's the best in terms of mood and craziness... they're all wearing wetsuits or body paint or something...

Yeah it's definetely 'unique'. Have to say it would've been better if they'd picked ANY crew who were attractive...

My favourite to date is Virgin Atlantic's.

Do they use that any more ? Or is it only a domestic thing?
Because on my Recent BNE-AKL-LAX flights it was a more low key video..

I have to say, that review doesn't exactly make me want to part with my hard earned dollars. That said, IMHO it did seem typical of a US based airlines Y offerings.

Their travel reviews are fairly average in general, I noted that he was not a 'guest' of Delta as is the case for other airlines reviewed.

Better to not be a guest and see what real service is like, than announce who you are and get the BS ;)

Or is no one honest to journalism anymore?

Agreed, the previous reviews were pretty much all positive when they were a guest of the airline

It is still shown on all B733's and A320's (international and domestic routes).

Must be missing something; seems a bit meh to me. V Australia's was interesting at least! And Air NZ's was different as well.

Do they have 'Smoking is naaaught allowed' <finger wag> ?:p
