Assistance would be appreciated - Flight from London to Melbourne

Hi, I am trying to find a way to use my QANTAS frequent flyer points to get from London to Melbourne on business class on any of these dates Sept 26, 27 or 28.
I have tried extensively through the QFF website to find some kind of option but there is absolutely nothing - via Asia, South America, Africa - Everywhere ! I don't mind having to stay over somewhere but there aren't even any options to do this, I have tried phoning Qantas but they offer very little help basically saying there is nothing. I have approx. 190,000 QFF points & am unfortunuately only a qantas club bronze so I think you get limited options on the frequent flyer seats ???

I currently have an economy flight booked with Malaysia Airlines via velocity rewards leaving London on Sept 25 via KL to Melbourne but this particular ticket apparently doesn't allow me to have upgrades or date changes as it was booked using frequent flyer points as well. Long story but it wasn't something I arranged so I didn't get to see the fine print...I am not happy with doing such a long haul trip in economy especially when I have QFF points I can use. If I could find something else I would be willing to forfeit my Malaysia Airlines flight but so far no success.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...

I can see a F ticket for 192000 on the 22nd and that is all for that period.

However the online system does not show all partners so I would keep phoning and be as flexible as possible.

Thanks for the welcome & prompt reply. Are you able to come across any other avenues even if it isn't direct London to Melb ?? eg Via Dubai or Buenos Aires or Rio. I am not sure which partners it doesn't show. Unfortunuately I cannot fly on 22nd & can only be flexible from Sept 25 onwards due to connecting flights.

Plenty of F LHR-LAX on those dates but from there nothing.

I would say the only chance is phoning daily.

Welcome to AFF septtrip. Did you ask them to check CX via HKG?

Give QF a call and ask them whats available as not all options are online, explain that you are flexible with dates (to a point) and that you want to go LHR to MEL, by looking at the flight as straight through you will have limited availability given the school holidays.

Consider some alternatives as well, maybe LHR/FRA to Asia with a stopover then a resumption of your journey, availability on one leg might be one day with the next leg two days later, for instance I can see F to SIN on the 26th for 126K.

You may be having an have an issue with the Singapore F1 GP on September 26.

Flights are filling up, each-way, before and after, even via HKG and BKK.

FWIW, 4 months ago, even as a WP, I was unable to get seats released for Sep 25/26.

Late September is also school holiday period in some states, so anything that was available is likely to be long gone as people book such award flights 10-11 months out.

The best option is as already stated by others to call QF and ask for options.

Get your points up to 192K buy calling QF telling them the flight you want, pay to top up points and book the F ticket on QF30 that departs on the 22nd of September.

I can see LHR-BKK on the 26 in F for 126K then BKK-MEL on JQ with classic award seats in Y or *class for max 60K departing the 28th Sept. Total 186000 points with one night in BKK, please keep in mind that is with a WP view of classics, same availability may not be the case for Bronze.

What about going via NRT/OSA/KIX on BA then QF to MEL. A lot of peole forget about going via Japan when often you can pick up seats.

This routing would be unlikely to be affected by any F1GP traffic to/from SIN.

I just checked using a Bronze log in and those flights are available as Bronze.
